This Week’s Motivational Video: The Power of Yet

Assignment: Draw a picture and/or write a response to the following questions: What is something that you want to achieve/do but haven’t done yet? (Why haven’t you done it yet? What will help you accomplish this task?)

Letters of the Week: Rr, Tt, Ww (Click each letter for a video.)

Assignments:

PreK-K: Find items around your home, in a book, or outside that begin or end with one of the letters of the week.

1st: Write five words that END with each letter of the day.

Numbers of the Week: 4, 5, 45

PreK-K: Review the value of numerals 4 and 5 as well as skip counting by 5,. Click the numerals for number of the day video 4 and 5. Click here to review skip counting by 5. Click here for addition and subtraction video.

Assignment

PreK - K

Write the numerals of the week (4 and 5). Draw a picture to show HOW MUCH each numeral is worth. (Example: 2** 7 $$$$$$$)

1st - 2nd:

Find as many ways as possible to make the number 45. (Example 45: 20+25 OR 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 25)

2nd - 3rd: Review multiplication facts. Click the number for multiplication fact review: 4’s and 5’s.

Vowel of the Week: Short e

Word of the Week: Perseverance/Persevere (Click here for the word of the week for video on perseverance.)

Assignment (K-3): Write a journal entry/Draw a picture about a time when you had to persevere (a time when you chose not to give up).

Book of the Week: The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka (Click the link for the read aloud.)

Assignment:

PreK - 1st: Draw and label the CHARACTERS in the story. Draw/Write about what happened at the BEGINNING, MIDDLE, and END or the story.

2nd - 3rd: In two to three sentences, explain how the wolf showed PERSEVERANCE in the story.
