Letters of the Week: Mm, Ss, Zz (Click each letter for a video.)
Assignment (preK-1st): Find items around your home, in a book, or outside that begin or end with one of the letters of the week.
Numbers of the Week: 2 and 3 For 1st and above, your number for the week is 23.
Assignment (preK - K): (Number 2) (Number 3) (Click each numeral for a video.) Write the numerals of the week (2 and 3). Draw a picture to show HOW MUCH each numeral is worth. (Example: 4 **** 7 $$$$$$$)
Assignment (1st - 3rd grade): Find as many ways as possible to make the number of the day. (Example 35: 10+15, 36-1, 7 X 5)
Assignment (2nd and 3rd grade): Click here for 2’s multiplication facts. Click here fore 3’s multiplication fact. Write out multiplication facts for 2’s and 3’s
Vowel of the Week: “Short a” (Click here for short vowel song.) (Click here for blending “short a” video).
Assignment: Draw a picture or write the word for three things that have the “short a” sound as the MIDDLE sound. (For example: cAt)
Word of the Week: COURAGE (Click the word of the week for video on courage.)
Assignment (K-3): Write a journal entry/Draw a picture about how you can show courage.
Assignment (2nd - 3rd): Create a story about a character who shows COURAGE. Be sure that your story has a Beginning, Middle, and End.
Book of the Week: “One” by Kathryn Otoshi (Click Link for Read Aloud.)
Assignment: In “One,” the characters are colors and numbers. List the characters in the story.
This Week’s Art Project: Draw a COURAGEOUS lion. (Click here for art tutorial.)
